Eden Mill Software builds custom applications for small to medium sized businesses. We are based in the Baltimore, Maryland area, and work with businesses across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The work comes out of fifteen years of running operations at small companies in manufacturing, tech, and professional services. Chris spent those years on the other side of this problem: the one deciding whether a process was worth fixing, and the one who had to keep it running afterward. Most software gets built by people who have never had to live with it.

Eden Mill changes that. We know the front of the house, the work that happens behind it, and the software that has to hold both together.

We also build and run our own software: MillHQ, Helm, PickIt and Money, Apparently. We pay to run them and answer their support email ourselves, which is the closest thing we have to showing our work without putting a client's business on a web page.

We are not trying to replace your people with software. The opposite. Efficiency here means giving you back the time and money that repetitive work consumes, so your team can put both toward the work that actually needs a person.

People make mistakes on repetitive work. Software handles the routine parts the same way each time, so fewer mistakes creep in from retyping and fatigue. Catching what the software was never told to look for still takes a person, and that check stays with your team.
